Conference Safety Measures and Duty of Care
The safety and wellbeing of attendees at the Combined Claims Conference is a top priority for both the CCC Board of Directors and Hyatt Regency Orange County. Our Conference Safety Measures and Duty of Care is intended to provide guidelines in an effort to provide the safest environment for onsite attendees under current social distance guidelines, while also providing the incredible networking opportunities people are accustomed to at the Combined Claims Conference.
The following information will be updated as any new information is released from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California Public Health Department and Orange County Public Health Department.
Cotton, reusable face coverings will be provided at the conference. You may also bring your own mask. Any requirements on if/when wearing a mask is mandatory will be determined by Hyatt Regency Orange County guidelines during the conference.
Hand Sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout the meeting space and hotel.
Responsible Meeting Planning
In collaboration with Hyatt Regency Orange County, the CCC will be providing responsible seating and barriers for all educational sessions and the exhibit hall, appropriate signage and floor decals to reinforce social distancing and safety measures, and food and beverage options to limit touch points.
Meeting Space for Educational Sessions and Luncheons
The Tuesday and Wednesday luncheons will be conducted outside on the Fountain Terrace near the front of the hotel. All luncheon tables and seating will follow recommended social distancing guidelines at the date of the event.
By conducting the luncheons outdoors, the amount of meeting space inside the hotel significantly increases to allow us to provide adequate social distancing for the educational sessions. In previous years, the four breakout session rooms had a total of 11,886 square feet of combined meeting space. For the 2021 conference, the four breakout sessions will have a total of 19,281 square feet of combined meeting space.
Tuesday Night Premier Event
The Tuesday Night Premier Event will be held outside on the Foundation Terrace. With the event dates in August, we expect nice evening weather for a “Sailing Away with the CCC” theme!
Limiting the Number of Exhibitors and Breakout Session Attendees
To limit the number of attendees inside the exhibit hall, all exhibitor companies will be limited to two company representatives per day.
For the attendees registering for the conference to attend the educational sessions, you will need to pre-reserve your spot for each educational track. An email will go out shortly after you register to RSVP for your breakout sessions. Attendees must respond to the breakout session RSVP to attend the breakout sessions. NOTE: Only Qualified and Scholarship Attendees are eligible to attend the breakout sessions. Exhibitor and All Other attendees will not be allowed entrance to the breakout sessions. If your company is an exhibitor and your employees also attend the CCC for CE credits, please contact email@example.com for instructions on how to register your additional attendees.
All break areas, lunch areas, and Hyatt Regency Orange County general meeting spaces will be cleaned throughout the day. All breakout rooms will be wiped down and cleaned between each session.
Personal Health and Accountability
While CCC and Hyatt Regency Orange County take onsite precautions, we ask all attendees to please use their best judgement when attending the conference. If you are sick, have a high temperature or come in close contact with a sick or COVID-19 positive individual leading up to the conference, please stay home. Click here for the refund policy for the 2021 Combined Claims Conference. While normal cancellation/refund policies apply, if in the weeks leading up to the conference you have COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or come in close contact with someone with COVID-19 symptoms, you will receive a full credit to a future conference.
