FROM THE CHAIRPERSON

WELCOME

Making it a truly memorable experience, good friends and new friends got together to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Combined Claims Conference from March 10th 12th in Industry Hills, CA. Check out other links on this website for photos, lists of sponsors and exhibitors, the program which was quite successful and other surprises. Meanwhile, in summary...

Caryn Siebert
Chairperson

... The event kicked off Monday with the sold out, fabulous Bill King Memorial Golf Tournament with proceeds benefiting Insuring the Children. Golfers enjoyed a beautiful day in terms of weather but were also spoiled with treats provided by golf sponsors such as hand-rolled cigars, a nachos station, a variety of beverages, healthy granola snacks and sandwiches. Cash prizes went to the hole sponsors for best decoration and hospitality, and to golfers for lowest score, straightest drive and we even had someone get a hole-in-one. During the golf reception, winners of the raffle drawing received putters, golf bags, gift certificates to the pro-shop, Angels tickets, picnic rollers, baskets of refreshments, a humidor, golf balls and other terrific prizes. Thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteers and golfers for their support and participation!!!

After a good night's rest (for some anyway), breakfast was available in the Exhibit Hall bright and early at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday! Over 60 Exhibitors had their booths erected and were there to greet attendees with big smiles, educational brochures and give-aways. By 9 a.m. the first speaker presentation was underway and almost 200 attendees were together receiving a valuable education. The rest of the day was filled with networking, presentations, lunch, sponsor recognitions and mingling with exhibitors culminating with a complimentary early evening reception.

In total, nearly 500 participants helped make the 20th Anniversary of the Combined Claims Conference a memorable success. For those who attended, if you sign up early, we will honor the price you paid this year for your exhibit booth or conference attendance in 2009!! And now, just like a holiday party, it's time to start planning next year's event!!! Yes, a Committee of your peers spends the next 10 months planning and assembling the finest educational value available. Nowhere else can you find two full days of cutting edge information from expert leaders in the insurance industry, and meet with top insurance services experts for a fee of under $100 per day (with meals included). So, get involved and commit early to the March 2009 Combined Claims Conference. Our theme next year is "Education - Your Ace in the Hole." Can you already picture some of the events in your mind around that theme? Feel free to e-mail us with ideas or to volunteer at info@combinedclaims.com.

It is incumbent on us all to keep up with the changes in our Industry. Improving ourselves makes us more valuable to our employers and to the marketplace. The networking time you will have with peers, educators, and experts who attend is invaluable. We look forward to a spectacular event in March 2009.

Respectfully submitted,
